Meet The Team

Sonia Somal grew up in Surrey, British Columbia. Before graduating from law school at Thompson Rivers University, she completed a Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University with a major in Criminology. While attending Law School at Thompson Rivers, Sonia Somal was a student clinician at the Community Legal Clinic and provided legal assistance and advice in a range of areas of law to those who would otherwise be unable to afford legal assistance.

Sonia Somal completed her articles at Stern Shapray, Criminal Lawyers before starting her practice with the firm. Sonia Somal’s practice focuses on defending adults and youths against all types of Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Act charges including assault, drug trafficking and driving offences.

Sonia Somal is fluent in Punjabi.
