Meet The Team
Prior to joining Stern Shapray in 2021, Silvia spent over three years as a prosecutor and legal clerk at various District Attorney’s offices throughout Oregon. She focused on complex domestic violence, firearms offences, and manslaughter matters. Silvia has conducted many trials, including jury trials, and has extensive experience navigating the courtroom. Since returning to British Columbia, Silvia has continued to focus on helping clients facing a wide array of serious criminal charges.
Her time as both a prosecutor and defence lawyer have provided her with a strong understanding of the criminal justice system in both Canada and the US. She recognizes how difficult it can feel to navigate this system and takes the time to understand each client’s situation and objectives.
Silvia’s practice focuses on defending adults and youths all over BC against all types of criminal charges, but also includes representing clients facing Motor Vehicle Act charges.
