Meet The Team

Kaitlyn Daly grew up in Coquitlam, British Columbia, and spent time in the Kootenay region. She completed her undergraduate studies in Connecticut, USA, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Criminal Justice. While completing her degree, she was a four-year NCAA Division I ice hockey athlete, earning numerous academic and athletic accolades and graduating with Honours.
 
After her time in the United States, Kaitlyn obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law in Kamloops, BC. There, she was a member of the TRU Lawggers ice hockey team, competing in the Western Canadian Law Hockey Championship, and volunteered as a TRU Law Ambassador and Co-President of the TRU Criminal Law Club. She co-founded the Criminal Law Club’s Mock Bail Hearing Competition, an annual competition for TRU Law students that works closely with the Provincial Court in both Kamloops and the Lower Mainland.
 
During law school, Kaitlyn worked as a summer student at Stern Shapray for two years. Following graduation, Kaitlyn completed her articles with the firm before starting her practice as a criminal defence lawyer.
 
Kaitlyn’s practice focuses on defending adults and youths against criminal and quasi-criminal charges across BC, including charges under the Criminal Code, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and the Motor Vehicle Act. Her practice also includes administrative law matters such as driving prohibitions, pardon/record suspension applications, destruction of non-conviction record applications, and security clearance letters. She has appeared at both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court levels.
